MuzeCircl

Privacy policy

Last updated 27 September 2026

MuzeCircl is a private closet. Your photos and outfits are yours, nothing is public, and we don't sell or advertise against your data. This page explains exactly what we hold and what you can do about it.

We keep it to a minimum

To have an account we need an email address and a password — nothing else is required. Everything beyond that is optional and you can leave it blank. We do not collect your location, we do not track you across other sites or apps, and we use no third-party analytics or advertising tools.

To understand which parts of the app are useful, we keep anonymous tallies of how often a feature is used — a date, the name of the action and a number, such as "22 September, outfit suggested, 14 times". These counts are not linked to you, your account or your device, and they hold no personal data.

The waiting list

MuzeCircl is invite-only at the moment. If you join the waiting list we store only your email address, the language the site was shown in and the date you joined — no name, no location, no tracking. We use it for one purpose: to email you when a place opens. We never share or sell it and we never send marketing. Legal basis: your consent, given by submitting the form. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing privacy@muzecircl.com and we will delete your entry; every invitation email also carries a one-click removal link. Entries are deleted once you create an account, or within 12 months if we have not opened to you by then.

Who is responsible

MuzeCircl is the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at privacy@muzecircl.com for anything privacy related, including access, correction or deletion requests.

What we collect and why

  • Account details — your email address and password (stored encrypted by our login provider), or your Google account if you sign in that way. Needed to give you an account. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
  • Profile (all optional) — a first name, a username, style words and favourite colours. Used to personalise suggestions and, if you choose, to let friends find you. We store no address, phone number, date of birth or city.
  • Closet content — photos of your clothes and the details attached to them, your wear log, saved looks and outfit ratings. This is the core of the service.
  • Circle activity — friend connections, posts you deliberately share and kudos you give. Only created when you choose to share.
  • Technical logs — basic error and request logs from our hosting, kept briefly to keep the app working and secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a reliable, secure service.

Photos and AI

When you add or scan a piece, the photo is sent to an AI model that recognises the garment (category, colour, fabric, condition) so you don't have to type it. The AI provider processes the image on our instructions to return that description; it is not used to advertise to you. Photos are stored privately and are only ever shown to you, unless you deliberately share a look with your circle.

Who else sees your data

  • Our hosting, database and file storage provider, which runs the app for us.
  • The AI provider that describes your garment photos, as above.
  • Google, if you choose Google sign-in.
  • Friends you connect with — only the posts and records you deliberately share.

These providers act on our instructions under data processing terms. We never sell your data. Some providers may process data outside the EEA, in which case transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account is open. When you delete your account, everything — profile, items, photos, wear log, looks, circle activity and the login itself — is permanently removed. Short-lived technical logs age out on their own.

Your rights

  • Access and portability — download everything we hold in one tap from your profile, under "Privacy and data".
  • Correction — edit your profile and every item directly in the app.
  • Erasure — delete your account from your profile; it removes everything immediately.
  • Objection and restriction — email us and we'll stop the processing you object to, or explain why we can't.
  • Withdraw consent — stop adding photos, or delete them individually, at any time.
  • Complain — you can complain to your local data protection authority. We'd appreciate the chance to fix things first.

Security

Your photos live in private storage reachable only through short-lived links issued to you. Database access rules mean your rows can only be read by your own signed-in account. Passwords are hashed by our login provider; we never see them.

Children

MuzeCircl is not intended for anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy meaningfully, we'll update the date above and tell you in the app.
